MEET
Hi, I'm Annalise - a wedding and engagement photographer based in Massachusetts, serving couples all over New England. My background is actually in bioengineering, and my day job is R&D in biotech - so all week I have science brain on, then somehow the person tearing up during vows almost every single time on the weekend.
When I'm not shooting, I'm probably hiking somewhere, most often Acadia, which I've visited nearly every year since I was four - almost twenty years now, including the year I got married to my best friend there. There's a reason my logo nods to the national parks; that kind of wild, unscripted landscape is where I feel most like myself, and it's exactly the feeling I try to bring into every session.
I'm also one deep squat away from tipping over trying to get the right angle, so if you catch me stumble mid-shoot, that's just part of the process. When someone's nervous in front of the camera, I tell them "the camera sucks, I hate it too" - it usually gets people to relax and forget it's even there. That's the goal: I want you looking at each other, not performing for a lens, so what I capture is actually you.
